Huahine got me in my feelings
I traveled here alone this time around, crazy. The past few times I have come with friends, but this is now my fourth time to French Polynesia. I kinda can’t believe it myself. Out of these four visits, three of them have now been to Huahine...so it feels like a place I can call home when I am here.
“The Island of the Women”
“Mana” -meaning magical power, the feel, the energy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The island was once only ruled by Queens, not kings. Also, known as the Lovely and Feminine island. Feminine, yet strong, dominate, powerful, confident. For all my Moana movie fans, this is where the movie originated from. “Moana”- meaning ocean. . . . The locals & tourists who have traveled to other French Polynesian islands say Huahine is unlike the rest. I latched on to this feeling the first time I visited...but never really explored or understood WHY. As I learn more and more about the Island, it’s people, it’s History, it’s all coming together. It all makes sense. . . .
People feel things here that they don’t feel anywhere else. It is a frequent conversation amongst the visitors and tourists and locals who have all traveled to the other islands.
But WHY HUAHINE?! A thought I have been exploring. I suppose to really validate this feeling, I would have to visit EVERY other island...but for now, I’m holding on to Huahine.
I listened to this intensely deep podcast on Impact Theory ( one of my fav channels) featuring Sadhguru...he spoke of what it means to be the seeker and this reso-freakin-nated with me strongly.
He spoke of…
-Vastness of human potential and habits that limit it
-How to break compulsive patterns and cycles
-Roles joy and growth play in reaching potential
-He process and struggle of looking inward
-The difference between seekers and believers
EVERY SINGLE SECOND of this podcast is worth listening to and making notes on.
I am overwhelmed in the best way possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be a S E E K E R & keep seeking.
-Thrive on <3
